Isn't there a statue of limitations on a debt

September 2009 Isn't there a statue of limitations on a debt (in Texas)? (Everywhere - but in Texas 4 years.) NCO Financial has been calling me non-stop for weeks now. I ran my credit report recently, as I do every year, and do NOT see what they are referring to. I called today to ask. The lady stated it was for Chase Manhattan Visa. I asked why I had never saw that on my credit report & she began going through all my credit reporting info w/me. I stopped her, said what SHE was calling about was the issue & I had no clue what she is referring to & AGAIN ask why it would not be on my credit report EVER. Her reply was "I have no idea, but it is an account from the early 90's, like 1992". WHAT, that is 17-18 years old! I told her I went to court on a recent Visa account & due to being disabled & having no money, I pay them $5 a month on a $3000 account. I heard her phone ringing & she asked to put me on hold, and after 5 minutes I HUNG UP!
